Privacy Policy

Vector is currently in beta. This policy describes the information processed by current app features and related services. We will update it when our practices change.

1. Who We Are

NW Forge ("we", "us", or "our") operates Vector, a fitness and workout-tracking application. This Privacy Policy describes the information Vector processes, why it is used, who may receive it, and your choices.

2. Information We Process

Accounts and profiles

Vector processes information needed to create and maintain an account, such as an email address, display name or username, sign-in provider, and authentication identifiers. Supported sign-in methods include email/password, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple in the iOS app. When you choose Google or Apple, we may receive profile information the provider makes available, such as a name and email address. Apple's Hide My Email feature may provide a private relay address. Supabase handles account authentication; Vector does not receive your plaintext account password.

With Apple Sign-In, Vector may securely retain an encrypted authorization credential so it can revoke the Apple authorization as part of account deletion. We also process profile information you choose to supply, such as your age or optional date of birth, sex, height, body measurements, current and goal weight, fitness goals, experience, training preferences, equipment preferences, profile mark, and app settings. An optional date of birth may be used to keep age-related fitness information current; it is not used for advertising.

Workouts, programs, and progress

Vector stores or generates workout plans and programs, exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, durations, distances, steps, workout notes, training history, personal records, program progression, workout scores, body-weight and measurement logs, hydration logs, and related exercise or app preferences. Progress and consistency features also use information such as XP, levels, quests, badges, streaks, and scheduling or training state.

Location for outdoor GPS activities

Vector requests precise device location only when you explicitly start a supported outdoor GPS activity and location permission is granted. Location is temporarily processed to calculate distance, pace, speed, and related activity information. Vector does not intentionally retain raw GPS coordinates, route geometry, or a location-history trail. Aggregate workout results, such as distance and duration, may be saved in your workout history. You can revoke location permission in your device settings.

Notifications and technical information

Vector may store app version, native build number, platform, notification preferences, and device messaging tokens needed for enabled remote notifications. Supported Android push notifications use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. Vector may also schedule local reminders on your device. Notification availability varies by platform and can be controlled through Vector and device settings.

Configured native beta and production builds use Sentry for crash and error diagnostics. These events may include app/build version, operating system, device model, error details, and sanitized technical context. Vector configures diagnostics to minimize personal data and avoid intentionally transmitting account identity, sign-in tokens, workout or body values, notes, request bodies, and precise location. Session replay, screenshots, and behavioral recording are not enabled in the current Sentry configuration.

Feedback and support

If you contact support or submit beta feedback, we process the information you choose to provide. During the closed beta, Vector's feedback control opens a Google Form and may prefill app version, build number, and platform. Feedback may pass through Google Forms and Sheets, Make, and Linear for development review and bug tracking. Messages sent to support@nwforge.app are processed through the email services used to receive and answer them.

New-account administration

When a new account is created, Vector may send a limited administrative notification to its operator using Brevo. The notification can include account identifier, email address when available, signup time, and sign-in provider information. These notifications support account and beta administration; they are not marketing messages.

3. How We Use Information

We do not sell or rent personal information or use Vector's current personal or fitness data for third-party advertising.

4. Service Providers and Sharing

Depending on the feature, Vector uses service providers including Supabase (authentication, data storage, and functions), Google (Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and closed-beta Google Forms/Sheets), Apple (Sign in with Apple), Sentry (limited error diagnostics), Brevo (account-administration email), Make (feedback automation), Linear (feedback and development tracking), and the providers used for support email and public-website hosting. These providers process relevant information to perform their services, subject to their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

Leaderboard visibility

If you enable Settings → Show on Leaderboard, other signed-in Vector users may see limited leaderboard information such as your display name or username, profile mark, XP, and level. New accounts start with leaderboard visibility off; existing accounts retain their saved choice until it is changed. You can turn the setting off at any time.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, or investigate suspected misuse. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising.

5. Storage and Retention

Vector stores account and workout information in its backend services and uses limited on-device storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, caches, and temporary workout state. Some provider records, support requests, beta feedback, diagnostic events, and administrative messages may be stored outside the primary Vector database.

We retain information while needed to operate your account and provide requested features. Other records are retained only as needed for support, troubleshooting, security, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational reasons, and are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Provider backups and logs may expire on different schedules.

6. Account Deletion

You can request deletion using Settings → Delete Account & All Data. Vector uses a server-confirmed deletion process for your account and its associated user-owned Vector records. If the request fails, the app should show an error rather than treating sign-out as completed deletion. You can also request help with deletion at support@nwforge.app.

Deletion of active account data does not guarantee instantaneous removal from every backup, provider log, support message, or external feedback system. Some limited information may remain temporarily for legitimate security, legal, or operational reasons, subject to applicable requirements.

Vector uses authentication, access controls, and database protections intended to help safeguard account information. No service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Vector is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 provided information to Vector, please contact us so it can be reviewed.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this policy as Vector changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date when a revised policy is published and provide additional notice when appropriate. Features such as subscriptions, additional analytics, health-platform integrations, or expanded location processing will be reviewed before their practices are described as current.
